The course is implemented by the Department of Historical Performance.
During its existence it has trained a number of experts in this field - soloists, chamber players and teachers.
In the course of its development, it has evolved into a format in which theoretical, practical and applied subjects are included, achieving a form of interrelated content of the individual subjects. Teachers of theoretical subjects thus have an overview of students' artistic projects and are able to apply immediate practical knowledge in theoretical teaching. The specialisation in organ playing in the Bachelor's programme creates the possibility of continuing in the Master's programme in organ playing.
By studying at the JAMU Faculty of Music, graduates receive a broad musical and pedagogical education and are prepared to work in these professions:
- soloist in playing his instrument
- chamber player and orchestral part player
- cooperation with soloists from other disciplines (also non-musical)
- cooperation with local authorities in various civic matters
- teacher of elementary schools, conservatories, music teacher at primary and secondary schools, private teacher
