Teaching
All teaching in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes takes place with regard for the close connection of theory and practice; students verify the experience acquired through the implementation of a wide range of music projects. It combines individual and group teaching, lectures, exercises, self-instruction. As part of the Erasmus project, the school cooperates with the best European universities and enables its students to go on internships with top educators in their field of study.
Thanks to the complexity of study programmes, the students can, under the guidance of experienced educators, achieve a quality music education with an emphasis on the highest level of performing arts in their field. The studies deepen their existing skills and knowledge and bring new knowledge in the specialisations of individual disciplines (instrument playing, methodology, history of the instrument and its repertory, study of orchestral parts) and also provides deeper knowledge of psychology, pedagogy, philosophy of art, music history and more.
“During my studies at JAMU, I met a number of important personalities who I could only dream of meeting before. I owe this opportunity to our school and I am glad to be a part of a great international oboe class.” Evžen Lubnin, student of the 2nd year of master’s degree studies at FoM JAMU (Russian Federation)
